A child is a unique gift from God. If the children progress, the future of the country can be improved. Many children are neglected and exploited in our state due to various reasons. Due to the family’s socio-economic and cultural prejudices, the care and protection of children is often insecure. Rayagada district is a tribal dominated district. Bal Niketan, a private organization, was born in 1980 in Gunupur, Rayagada district to provide proper education, health, food, clothing, housing and provide necessary vocational training to the neglected and neglected boys who need care and protection and join the mainstream of society. There are currently 50 boy inmates living here. Children are provided with proper vitamins and nutritious food, quality education, good housing, facilities for physical fitness, library, indoor games, spacious playground, clean dining hall, transport to school, various games and television projects are arranged for children’s entertainment. 15 staff members are employed for proper care of the child. Children are very happy here in a nice atmosphere and child friendly environment.
ଏକ ଶିଶୁ ଭଗବାନଙ୍କର ଏକ ଅନନ୍ୟ ଉପହାର। ଯଦି ଶିଶୁମାନେ ଉନ୍ନତି କରନ୍ତି, ଦେଶର ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ସୁଧାରିବା ସମ୍ଭବ। ଆମର ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାରଣରୁ ଅନେକ ଶିଶୁ ଅବହେଳିତ ଓ ଶୋଷିତ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି। ପରିବାରର ସାମାଜିକ-ଆର୍ଥିକ ଓ ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ପ୍ରତିନ୍ଧିମାନଙ୍କ କାରଣରୁ ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କର ଯତ୍ନ ଓ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଅନେକ ସମୟରେ ଅସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହୁଏ। ରାୟଗଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଏକ ଆଦିବାସୀ ଆଧିକ୍ୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ। ଏଠାରେ ଆପଣ ଅନେକ ଏମିତି ନିର୍ବାଚିତ ଛବି ଦେଖିପାରିବେ। ବାଲ ନିକେତନ, ଗୁଣୁପୁର, ରାୟଗଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଏକ ବେସରକାରୀ ସଂଗଠନ, 1980 ମସିହାରେ ଜନ୍ମ ନେଇଥିଲା ଯାହା ଉପେକ୍ଷିତ ଓ ଅବହେଳିତ ପୁଅମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା ଯତ୍ନ ଓ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ, ସଠିକ ଶିକ୍ଷା, ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ, ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ପୋଷାକ, ଆଶ୍ରୟ ଓ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ବୃତ୍ତିମୂଳକ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ସମାଜର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଧାରାରେ ସାମିଲ କରିବାକୁ। ଏଠାରେ ଏବେ 50 ଜଣ ପୁଅ ବାସ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଠିକ ଭିଟାମିନ ଓ ପୋଷ୍ଟିକ ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ଗୁଣବତ୍ତାପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶିକ୍ଷା, ଭଲ ଆଶ୍ରୟ, ଶାରୀରିକ ତନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଉପକରଣ, ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥାଳୟ, ଭିତରକୋଣ ଖେଳ, ବିଶାଳ ଖେଳ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ, ସଫା ଭୋଜନାଳୟ, ସ୍କୁଳକୁ ପରିବହନ, ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଖେଳ ଓ ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କର ମନୋରଞ୍ଜନ ପାଇଁ ଟେଲିଭିଜନ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କର ସଠିକ ଯତ୍ନ ପାଇଁ 15 ଜଣ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ଏଠାରେ ଶିଶୁମାନେ ଖୁବ ଖୁସି ଅଛନ୍ତି ଏକ ସୁନ୍ଦର ପରିବେଶ ଓ ଶିଶୁ-ମିତ୍ର ପରିବେଶରେ।
